Wind Chill Advisory...
Get ready for some extremely cold temperatures and wind chills tonight! We're heading for lows near -10 with wind chills plummeting to 25 below! Wind chills like that are dangerous and that's why the Advisory is in effect until 9am on Thursday. By Thursday afternoon we'll see some moderation with highs climbing to the lower 20s.
Thursday night will not be as cold...and we're on track for a chance of snow Friday night and early Saturday as a storm passes SE of the Quad Cities.
The record low for Thursday, by the way, is -11 and was set in the year 2000. We should be within striking distance of that record by late tonight...
