Heavy, Wet Snow Expected

After a relatively quiet winter so far we are looking for some decent snow on Thursday.  An area of low pressure will race through the Midwest, dropping snow for some and rain for others!  In the Quad Cities it will be a close call as far as how much snow we see!  Places north of the Quad Cities could see up to 7 or 8 inches of a wet snow, while south of the QC there'll be more rain than anything else!  In the metro area we're calling for 3-5 inches of a wet snow Thursday!  Some good news - wind shouldn't be too much of a problem, holding steady around 10 mph.

For the Quad Cities' most accurate forecast watch Chief Meteorologist Andy McCray and Meteorologist Chris Gilson on CBS4 News at 5, 6 and Ten at 10 on CBS4.  Start your day with Meteorologist Travis Michels' forecast on CBS4 News This Morning at 5:30am!
