Christine Souders - CBS4 - WHBF Quad Cities, IL-IA News Weather Sports

Christine Souders

Christine Souders joined the CBS4 news team in February 2012. She came to CBS4 from WAOW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin where she worked as a multimedia journalist and morning show producer. Even though Christine started her career in Wisconsin, she grew up two hours north of the Quad Cities in Freeport, Illinois. Christine attended Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois and graduated with a B.A. in communications and broadcast journalism in May 2011.

While working on her undergrad, Christine spent most of her time at the Northern Television Center reporting, producing, and anchoring for the daily newscasts, NTC News Tonight. She credits her success so far in television news to completing two internships; an intern reporter at WIFR 23 News in Rockford, and shadowing and developing stories with ABC7 Chicago Disabilities Reporter Karen Meyer. Christine also received the Reporter of the Year Award and Creative Achievement Award through the school of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Northern Illinois University.

She is eager to learn "all things Quad Cities," and looks forward to reporting on what's going on in your neighborhood. Another perk of her job is getting the chance to meet new faces.
In her spare time, Christine enjoys cuddling up with a good book, watching classic films, and any opportunity she can fit in a good laugh at a comedy show or swaying to some live music. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends. When she's feeling especially adventurous, Christine will strap in to her snowboard for some runs down a ski slope or go kayaking on a sunny afternoon.

If you have a story idea she would love to hear from you! Contact Christine at csouders@cbs4qc.com.
