Chris GilsonChris joined the CBS4 News team in March 2011 as weekend meteorologist and reporter. Chris grew up along the Ohio River in East Central Ohio.
Chris is excited to be forecasting the weather for the Quad Cities. He became interested in the weather as a kid during the blizzard and flood of 1996. Throughout high school, he often visited the local television stations and shadowed the meteorologists.
Chris earned his bachelor's degree in Meteorology from California University of Pennsylvania and completed a master's degree in Geography at Northern Illinois University.
Chris interned at WTRF-TV in Wheeling, WV and, prior to coming to CBS4, he continued to work on his forecasting and broadcasting skills at WTVO-TV in Rockford, IL.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys working out, reading, and watching hockey. Chris is looking forward to meeting viewers and answering any weather questions that they may have.
