Jay joined the CBS4 News team as sports director way back in 2001. He came to the Quad Cities from WFSB-TV in Hartford, CT where he also served as sports director. Prior to that, Jay worked as a sports reporter/anchor at WGGB in Springfield, MA.
Jay is a graduate of the University of Hartford with a B.A. in Mass Communications and has always been a huge sports fan. He particularly enjoys the wide variety of sports offered here in the Quad Cities.
"This is definitely an area of winners," he says, "from the high school level right on up. I really enjoy being a part of the local sports scene. The people in this area really support their local teams and, as a sports anchor and a sports fan, you can't ask for much more than that."
