You're seeing a lot of red Friday…and this is why.
Friday is the American Heart Association's ‘Go Red for Women Day'.
The goal is to bring awareness to heart disease, the #1 killer of women.
The American Heart Association says ‘Go Red' has helped save more than 600,000 lives.
"We've seen a 23% increase in education among woman and we've actually seen a decrease in the number of woman dying of heart disease," says Kate Cuellar, Regional Director of the American Heart Association.
National ‘Wear Red Day' kicks off the celebration of American Heart Month throughout February.
