The body located in Centennial Park yesterday afternoon has been identified as 56-year-old Karen Hebbeln of Davenport. An autopsy is pending.
Just after 9 yesterday morning, an Attempt to Locate report was taken by the Davenport Police Department.
The complainant reported Mrs. Hebbeln had left her residence around 6 PM Monday, January 20.
When she didn't return the next morning, the complainant tried to contact her. That's when he contacted the Davenport Police Department.
An investigation is underway in Davenport.
Tuesday, afternoon, the body of a woman was found in Centennial Park.
The Davenport police department tells CBS 4 that a man on a group scavenger hunt came across the woman's body.
It was next to the spray park.
Patrols were dispatched around 4pm Tuesday afternoon, and closed access to the park for hours.
We're told the body could be that of a woman who went missing Monday night.
At this point, detectives say there doesn't appear to be foul play, but that's based on the early investigation.
"The body was located. The area was cordoned off until the investigating could be completed. Currently, were not ready to release the name of the person until the family has been notified," said Captain Dale Sievert.
Detectives are interviewing possible witnesses.
An autopsy will be scheduled.

Police tell CBS4 that they believe the body is that of a woman from Davenport that went missing last night.
Officers continue to investigate the scene. The Scott County Mobile Command unit is providing lighting and a Davenport fire department ladder truck is being used to get an aerial view of the investigation.
Davenport Police are investigating a body found this afternoon in Centennial Park.
