A Knox College alum is one of 21 people killed Friday in a terrorist attack in Afghanistan.
27–year–old Lexie Kamerman of Chicago, died in Kabul.
Officials said three terrorists carried out the deadly attack on a popular restaurant where Kamerman was dining.
Her family said she went to the country last summer to become a teacher at American University of Afghanistan.
"As tragic as this is, I think if you asked her if she would do this again, I think she would," said Knox College Professor Peter Schwartzmann.
While at Knox College, Kamerman majored in anthropology and sociology and was a member of the water polo team.
