A dry start to 2014 in Monmouth, Illinois. The city is still asking residents and businesses to conserve water this week.
It's just a precaution after a pump broke that provides about half of the city's daily water supply.
Crews have been on scene working to fix the problem since last week, but they likely won't finish up until Wednesday.
Public works officials say the Illinois EPA then has to test the water. They're hoping to have the pump up and running on Thursday*.
