The Iowa National Guard said more than 1,000 full-time employees have been furloughed because of the partial government shutdown. The guard said most are federal technicians that are uniformed members, about 45 are civilian employees, and about 50 employees remain on duty. The guard said most drills are scheduled through October 10th while community outreach missions have been canceled.
As for furloughed Arsenal workers?
Congresswoman Cheri Bustos announced she's supporting a bill that would pay back Arsenal workers the money they're owed during the shutdown.
