Ever wanted to see the wedding gown worn by Princess Diana? It's here in the Quad Cities.
It's part of the exhibit "Diana, A Celebration" that opens to the public on Saturday at the Putnum Museum.
The media got a preview of the gown Wednesday. The dress is made of 6 different fabrics, and also has a 25-foot silk train.
Organizers say the sight of the dress takes people back to her wedding day.
"I think people can relate back to their childhood or when or where they were when Princess Diana actually got married," Graeme Murton said. "It was a royal wedding that we hadn't had in England for I don't know how many years."
