U.S. Congresswoman Cheri Bustos also spent Labor Day in the Quad Cities. This just after speaking with high level officials about the situation in Syria.
"I applaud the president for seeking congressional approval. I still have a lot of questions and we'll return to committees next week and vote next week," said Cheri Bustos, U.S. Representative from Illinois.
Bustos says she's continuing to listen to input from Quad Citians and her other Illinois constituents.
Bustos tells CBS 4 she still needs to learn more, and she doesn't want the U.S. to rush into taking action.
She also says she supports the president's decision–making process.
