Quad Citians are feeling the heat this week and trying to keep cool.
With temperatures in the nineties, folks are trying everything they can to beat the heat. Families are spending time at Schwiebert Park at the water fountains since most public pools are already closed.
Parents say it's a nice, cool, alternative for their kids to play together.
"There's not really much for the kids to do. I mean they are not opening the pools throughout the week they said, so bringing them down here was the best option," says Jessica Hank, a Rock Island resident.
Parents say the fountains are the next best option in this kind of record setting heat.
