Over 50 percent of the bridge is lost.
That's what the Moline Parks Board told city leaders about the Sylvan Island Bridge.
They presented findings of an inspection report Tuesday, which says it's going to cost more to repair the structure than to replace it.
The bridge was closed in April after city engineers said it was unsafe.
The park board thinks replacing is their best option, but have asked for more time to review the specifics.
They will meet again this Friday at 10 am to further discuss it.
