It was the end of a moving, weekend–long tribute to American soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
The Tribute To Our Fallen held its closing ceremonies today at davenport's memorial park cemetery.
The weekend–long event's main attraction was a field of flags, representing the over six thousand American soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
One woman shared her story during the closing ceremonies, of how she copes with her brother who served in the military's death.
"I never would speak in front of people but since my brother was killed I feel that the circumstances around his death has really given me a voice and it's my responsibility to share," said Rebecca Eisenhauer-Anderson.
The tribute to our fallen was open all day and night for the weekend, giving people an opportunity to come reflect whenever they needed to.
