Hundreds of folks put the pedal to the medal today.
It was the sixth annual ride for the cure for Gilda's Club. The money goes toward providing free services for all types of cancer patients. Organizers say most of the people on the ride have been affected by cancer or know someone who has been so it hits close to home.
"More people are turning into survivors. I think because of programs like Gilda's Club and the research that they can provide," says Jill Moffitt, director.
The director also says each year the event gets bigger and bigger.
