It's not everyday you can get a rack of ribs and help local kids all in one fell swoop.
The Iowa Quad City Rotary Club hosted their annual "Ribs For Kids" event Friday night at Kelly's Irish Pub and Eatery in Davenport. With dinner, live music, raffles and door prizes, there was something for everyone. Last year's event raised $12,000 for local organizations that help kids.
"We seek to help out those children who are primarily disadvantaged in some way we help out those kids whose parent are in the military who have mental and physical disabilities and who are at risk," said Sigrid Zaehringer, President of Iowa Quad City Rotary Club.
CBS4's Meredith Dennis emceed Friday night's event. CBS4 is a proud sponsor of "Ribs for Kids".
