The Aledo Police department is searching for two people it says robbed and assaulted a man in his home.
Around 6:15 Tuesday evening police were called to the area of S.W. 9th Avenue for a report of a suspicious vehicle. While looking for it they got another call that led them to a nearby residence where officers found an injured man.
Police believe that several people forced their way into the home, assaulted the victim and stole from him. The man was taken to Genesis Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
On Wednesday police issued warrants for two possible suspects in the crime. Larry Rhoden, of East Moline, and Karen Clark, of Clarinda, Iowa are charged with Home Invasion and Felony Theft.
If you have any information about the crime, or know where Rhoden and Clark are, you are asked to call the Aledo Police at 309-582-2330 or Mercer County Crime Stoppers at 800-582-2762.
