Folks at Ericksen Chevrolet are making a difference by feeding the hungry.
Thirty volunteers packed more than 7,500 meals to starving families in Haiti, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
Ten percent of the food will stay here with local food pantries.
Every 6 seconds there's a child under the age of 5 that dies from starvation and families here want to stop it.
"It breaks my heart to think that children are dying somewhere just from not getting enough food. So we here in the Quad Cities have such big hearts and are so generous that it's important that we help to reduce starvation and death from starvation," says Pam Gettert, President, Kids Against Hunger.
The owner of Ericksen's Chevrolet is challenging other car dealerships to pack as many or more meals for the hungry.
