Local hospitals are getting some help from Illinois to make updates. Governor Pat Quinn announced Thursday Quad City Area hospitals are getting $1.6 Million dollars. The money will be used to make improvements and upgrades.
Henry County: Kewanee Hospital is getting $190,272 for new equipment.
Knox County: OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg is getting $234,485to renovate the Fluoroscopy Suites.
Mercer County: Genesis Medical Center in Aledo is getting $170,360 for new digital mammography equipment.
Rock Island County: Genesis Medical Center in Silvis is getting $161,410 to renovate the Outpatient Cardiac Unit. Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island is getting $315,895 for exterior building repairs.
Warren County: OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth is getting $174,410 to renovate the operating rooms.
Whiteside County: CGH Medical Center in Sterling is getting $221,907 for a fire suppression system in the Clinic Building. Morrison Community Hospital is getting $170, 450 for a fire suppression system as well.
