For 24 hours, Palmer students are dancing for a good cause.
It's the 1st Annual Palmer OP3 Dance-a-thon, which stands for Operation Palmer Promotes Play.
The event started at 3:00 Friday afternoon, until 3 O'Clock Saturday, and they'll be getting jiggy with it to raise money for Project Renewal, an after school program for at risk children.
Organizers say the money will go to giving Project Renewal's park some needed TLC.
"We're helping to fight childhood obesity by putting in some of the equipment, will be exercise equipment, but since it will be outside with their playground, we're hoping they see it as really fun stuff to play on," said Kristina Bemis, Event Organizer.
Operation Palmer Promotes Play hopes to raise $64,000 dollars from the Dance-a-thon.
