9:00 Update: As of 9pm the National Weather Service has allowed all local warnings to expire. Storms continue to weaken but will still drop some rain, lightning and 30-50 mph wind gusts over the next couple hours as they move through the area. The Svr T'Storm Watch is still in effect until midnight. We'll let you know right away if any additional warnings are issued. And remember, you can always get your FIRST FULL WEATHER FORECAST before the first commercial break on Ten at 10! Tonight Andy will have a look at the HD Radar right off the bat!
8:30 pm Update: Another warning has been issued for parts of the area, and this latest warning includes the Western part of Scott Co. in Iowa. This latest warning goes until 9pm and the storms are now moving SE at 25 mph and have winds of about 60 mph! Portions of Cedar, Clinton, Muscatine, Jackson and Jo Daviess Counties are also included! Also, the Quad Cities is now included in the Svr T'Storm Watch that goes until midnight...
With Svr. T'Storm Warnings in effect for parts of the area West and Northwest of the Quad Cities it's looking more and more likely we'll see some rain in the Quad Cities this evening! Strong winds and some hail have prompted warnings for portions of Cedar, Jackson and Johnson Counties in Iowa until 8:30 pm. These storms are moving E/SE at about 40 mph. In the Quad Cities metro area t'storm will be possible by 9pm!
Also, a Severe T'Storm Watch is in effect for several counties mainly West of the Quad Cities until midnight.
