Coal valley days of summer are here.
Folks of all ages celebrated the community event in the municipal park today. There was a carnival, a candy bar bingo competition, even a petting zoo for people to enjoy.
Vendors all of sorts were also there. Organizers say it's a great way for the community to get out and about.
"I think it's a way of bonding them, socializing them. You come out at night, you know you're going to see people that you grew up with," says Debra Kettler, Committee Member, Coal Valley Days.
For the first time this year, they had a doggie dash where thirty dogs raced for a prize.
