daxon died a year ago from a heart attack. Now his son and the community are
stepping up to remember him.
been an eternity. It's felt like the longest year of my life and made me grow
up a lot. Really puts life in a different perspective," says Dylan Daxon, 18

dream, when all of a sudden his world came crashing down.

doing what he would want me to do. I've definitely grown up and become a man a
lot sooner than expected," says Daxon.

these guys have been here for me more than anybody. So it's not the fundraiser
it's the emotional support all these guys are awesome. I couldn't ask for
anyone better around me."
says the motorcycles bring back memories of his dad.
dad was just in love with it. He's hanging out with smoke and all these guys
and he loved to ride the motorcycle I really didn't get on them too often. But
I know what a big part of my dad's life it was. It really made me happy,"
now lives with his grandparents and continues to play golf religiously.
says he knows his father is looking down on him.
never forget my dad. It's still every day is tough, but at the same time, I
can't feel sorry for myself for the rest of my life. I have to go out and do
something that is going to make him proud and make myself proud."
Dylan will be attending Adelphi University in New York on a
full golf scholarship.
