Red White and Boom is the area's biggest fireworks display.
While events at Schwiebert Park are the same as usual, on the other side of the river it's a different story. People will not be able to enjoy the fireworks from LeClaire Park this year because of flooding.
Instead you'll have to set up on 2nd street, between Ripley and Harrison. But the biggest change the fireworks will launch from the Centennial Bridge and that will mean traffic issues, all day.
The Centennial Bridge will be down to 1 lane each direction starting at 9:00AM so crews can start setting up. The bridge closes down completely at 9:00PM for the fireworks.
Police say be prepared for slower traffic throughout the day and plan to use the Arsenal Bridge or 280 at night.
While some people we talked to aren't too worried about all the traffic, the extras closures are a big concern for some parents.
"That might keep me from going. I just don't know with 3 little kids sitting in the car that's not too fun," said mother Brittany Hyde.
1st Avenue between 17th & 20th Streets in Rock Island will be closed today from 12:00PM until 10:30PM.
