Flooding along the Mississippi River is forcing Fort Madison to postpone their fireworks show.
The city's 4th of July fireworks will now go off on Labor Day, September 2nd. That's because Riverview Park, where the fireworks are normally set off is flooded.
Some residents we talked with were ok with the city's decision.
"Kinda disappointing, but at the same time, I understand because it's River View Park and they're making it safe." stated Courtney Brown.
Residents say they're not worried about missing fireworks because there are towns near by that will have 4th of July shows.
