Triple A tells drivers beware of hands free devices

I have so much trouble when I even use Siri its always doing something
different than when you asked, so I feel like I'm still looking down at my
phone wondering what Siri is going to say next or what she pops up on Google to
look at so you still have to look down at your phone even if you do use Siri,"
says Gina Marogil, a Moline resident.

distracted by another task; they develop inattention blindness, meaning they
look straight ahead, but fail to see what's in front of them like red lights or
like blue tooth that people like Gina Marogil use are the culprit distractions
in the car.
I think that when I use blue tooth with my phone cause it connects straight
through my car it's a little bit better for me to use that way I'm not holding
my phone or anything like that I'm just talking straight into basically my
radio. So then I feel like I can pay attention to the road, but at times still
you are getting distracted in your conversation so that can always be a hazard
when you are driving," says Marogil.
