Things are getting faster on your phones. AT&T unveiled its 4G LTE network for the Quad Cities and Sterling, Illinois.
The new network has already been available in other major markets, but will now allow those in the area to download data faster on their cell phones.
AT&T leaders say it's all about adapting as more and more folks make the switch to smart phones.
"They can now download things much quicker," says Dennis Pauley, Director of External Affairs. "They can play their games faster; they can watch their TV shows on their devices better. The customer wants to be able to use their handheld mobile devices wherever they go."
AT&T officials say they hope to continue to expand their 4G coverage across the area.
