A lucky lady from Illinois won the jackpot today.
Andi Harden is a single mom and she says winning the lottery has given her a new appreciation for life.
"Everybody has said the same thing; no one deserves it more than me. To hear so many people say that, it makes me feel really good about myself. Makes me feel like I'm somebody," says Andi Harden, Lotto winner.
Andi is no stranger to work.
Hailing from Albany, Illinois, she does a little bit of everything.
"I work at a gym. I work at another gas station. I sell Lia Sophia. I massage feet on the side. I hope to go to college to become a masseuse," says Harden.
Andi's only daughter Stephanie says her mom is her hero.
"She is the hardest working person I've ever met in my whole life. She just makes everybody fall in love with her. She's all my friend's mom. She's everybody's mom pretty much," says Stephanie Nagel, Andi's daughter.
But last week, Andi's life got a whole lot brighter.
She remembers scratching the winning ticket at a gas station in Hampton.
"You think, 'oh my god', I'm going to scream or pass out, but really I froze. I didn't know what to do. It was quite overwhelming."
Andi will get a thousand bucks per week for the next 20 years.
Andi says she's going to put the money to good use.
"I'm going to buy my house. I'm going to pay for my daughter to go to college," says Harden.
She's also going to invest in her own future.
"I'm going to go to school. I want to better myself. I want to take this opportunity to get where I need to be," says Harden.
The gas station that sold the winning lotto ticket also scored big. They won more than ten thousand dollars for selling a winner.
