A nearly 23 year old cold case could be heating up again.
Moline Police have reopened the investigation into the disappearance of Jerry Wolking. In October of 1990 Wolking's GMC Suburban was found at the Quad City International Airport. He was never seen again.
Officers suspected foul play in his disappearance. In 2002 Wolking's family told CBS4 that the Suburban had been completely trashed, with "newspapers and stuff strewn all over...there was mud packed into the trailer hitch as if someone had backed into a ditch."
Police have been searching in a rural area of Milan, using earth moving equipment and cadaver dogs. They are asking anyone with any information about Jerry Wolking's disappearance to call Moline Police at (309) 524-2140 or Crime Stoppers at (309) 762-9500.
