It was a celebration of life Saturday at St. Ambrose University.
Students were dancing the day away from 3-11 p.m.
It's all a part of Dance Marathon, students raise money and support for the Children's Miracle Network.
Children who have benefited from the groups efforts were there too, taking in all the excitement.
Organizer, Mark Brauweiler, says it's dancing for a reason.
"Our event is 8 hours we stand and dance for 8 hours so it's kind of like a little insight into what some of these kids who are in the hospital go through. They don't get to quit fighting and so we're not going to quit dancing either."
The group says they'll still be accepting donations for the next couple weeks.
