Historic homes and buildings in Iowa could get some much needed TLC.
Democrats in the state senate want to increase money going to a program that offers tax credits to restore historic buildings. Supporters said the plan would help create jobs, housing and breath new life into downtowns. Right now, the state approves up to $45 million in credits in a year, under the proposed plan, that would go up to $60 million.
