energy is considering building a nuclear power plant in Wilton Iowa,
and the idea has some homeowners concerned.
residents are coming together to host a public meeting tonight to get all the
facts on the table about the proposed plant.
energy will present at today's meeting with more details about the possible
leaders told us before that with new technology the nuclear power plant would
be small, not like larger ones of the past. They also said it would bring 350 new jobs.
group made up of area residents and farmers called Saving America's Farmground
and Environment, or SAFE, will also present their stance on the issue and some
of their concerns about health risks. A spokesperson for the group says a nuclear plant is too dangerous near their homes.
