There is a Winter Weather Advisory south of the Quad City area that
expires at 1 A.M. on Monday morning. This is due to the snow that is
falling across the region and mainly the deterioration of road conditions overnight.
Accumulations for the entire system will be 3"-5"south of the QCA and 1"-2" in the metro Quad City area. Earlier this afternoon totals in Galesburg were around 3", close to 4" southwest of Burlington, and just over an inch at CBS4 (Rock Island).
Roads at this point are
mainly wet but with temperatures falling below freezing overnight they will become slick. Be sure to use caution as you head out tonight and early tomorrow morning. Some flurries will linger into Monday and
temperatures will stay on the cool side as well.
