The sequester deadline passed on March 1st, meaning across the board budget cuts kicked in.
So how could sequestration affect us here in the Quad Cities?
The Quad City Federation of Labor will host a forum later today where organizations will speak and residents will have the chance to make comments or ask questions about the effects of the sequester in the Quad Cities.
Representatives from the Arsenal, the Quad Cities Alliance for Retired Americans and Humility of Mary Housing will speak.
Tracy Leon from the Federation of Labor says, "It may take a long while to see it, whether it's their food prices or whether it's reduce services in their community, but this will touch each and every American."
The community forum will take place Wednesday night at 5:00, at the community health care in Rock Island, anyone is welcome to attend.
