One Quad City Area school district has found a way to slash their budget without cutting jobs.
The Clinton Iowa School District is cutting more than 660 thousand dollars from next years budget.
They're able to do this without firing teachers or increasing class sizes, by granting 20 teachers early retirement.
About half of those positions will now be filled by new teachers at a lower pay rate, while the other half don't need to be refilled due to declining enrollment.
