The Quad City Mallards teamed up Friday night with Genesis Health Services Foundation to help out the hospital's Outpatient Rehabilitation.

Players' special edition St. Patrick's day jerseys were auctioned off after the Mallards took on the Burlington Blaze.

The  auction brought in $24,600 dollars.  The jersey that raised the most money was the throwback jersey of former Mallard Great, Glenn Stewart, which sold for $2,000.  One of the jerseys wore by current player, Mickey Lang, drew in $1,900.

All the proceeds of Friday night's auction will go towards buying new equipment for brain and spinal cord injury patients.

Over the last 18 years, Mallards jersey auctions have raised more than $700,000 for Genesis Health System charities.
