Man accused of beating pregnant girlfriend

Davenport police have arrested a man they say beat up his pregnant girlfriend.

Ellison Jackson, was arrested Thursday night in Davenport. Police said they caught him trying to push his way into a neighbor's apartment on West 25th Street just before midnight. Upon further investigation, police said they found out Jackson hit and choked his pregnant girlfriend. When he left, she ran next door to call 911. They said he then came back, punched one of the neighbors and tried to force his way into the apartment to get his girlfriend. Jackson is facing multiple charges.
