It was an out of body experience not meant for the squeamish.
Today the Putnam Museum opened the world renowned ‘Bodies Revealed' exhibit.
It gives you an up close and personal look inside the body's system. These are real bodies preserved using a special rubberizing technique.
Folks can check out the respiratory system and see how different bodies function.
Today the place was packed and people we talked to say it's nothing like anything they've seen before.
"The coolest thing was to see the heart. I mean they actually had it all separated out, right there on the table. The interior, the exterior, it was pretty fascinating," says Ian Kaffenberger, 11 years old.
The bodies exhibit will be open at the Putnam through June.
