Softheon to present at both the Policy Forum and the Exchange Conference

STONY BROOK, N.Y., March 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Softheon Inc., an emerging leader in next generation managed care business process optimization, announced today that they will have a significant presence at this years' AHIP Policy Forum and Exchange Conference in Washington, D.C. Softheon is a Select Chairman Level sponsor of the premier annual healthcare conference and will continue to support AHIP's efforts.

As the deadline approaches, Healthcare companies need to know what options and solutions are available to assist them with preparing for the millions of Americans looking to enroll through Health Insurance Exchanges. Both of Softheon's sessions will aim to provide Health Plans with the technology they need to be ready for January 1st, 2014.

On Wednesday, March 13th, Softheon will be hosting a Breakfast session entitled:

Cloud Exchange Connector: An accelerated data and business process integration with Federal and State Based Exchanges

ACA challenges are requiring faster, agile and more responsive operations across every business unit -from enrollment to premium billing.  Just as the Federal Data Hub will provide real time identity management and benefits eligibility check using cloud based services to public exchanges, early adopter health plans are deploying and customizing a suite of cloud based tools to seamlessly integrate with the Federal and State Exchanges.  The new innovations in the cloud technologies provide even more tools at payers disposal, like providing batch and real-time enrollment for individual and SHOP exchanges, premium & subsidy payment collection and aggregation, and setting up virtual contact centers with full social media services.  And, because it's all in the cloud, there's no need for expensive hardware or software.

On Friday, March 15th, Softheon will also be hosting a Breakfast session entitled:

Extending and leveraging technology to Support Exchanges

As the Health Care Reform deadline rapidly approaches, Health Plans are looking to meet the challenging requirements to interface and integrate with Exchanges, while continuing to maintain their existing operations around Commercial and State products. In this session, Softheon will discuss how Health Plans do not have to replace their existing systems in order to participate with Exchanges. The session will also discuss the best practices in communicating with Exchanges.

About Softheon

Empowering the nation's only fully operational state health exchange since 2008, Softheon's vision and strategic direction address healthcare payer, provider, and government agencies' goal of meeting PPACA milestones. Softheon provides solutions for interacting with Health Insurance Exchanges (HIX), while measurably reducing administrative costs, improving member and provider satisfaction, as well as addressing regulatory compliance challenges in all managed care administrative processes.
