Could a Niabi Zoo lion kill a trainer?

A woman was killed Wednesday after entering a lion enclosure at a California animal sanctuary.

We spoke with folks at the Niabi Zoo to see if something like that could happen here, Zoo Director, Marc Henizman, says it's shocking that she was in the enclosure with the lion.

"At Niabi Zoo, at most zoos, that something that never happens, lions are extremely dangerous animals and we take a lot of precautions."

Heinzman adds that the three lions at the Niabi Zoo are kept behind bars at all times.
