IL House looks to ban assault weapons

The Illinois house is working to ban guns they said are used for quote, "mass destruction." Lawmakers approved Tuesday a series of measures to ban semi-automatic assault weapons in the state. One amendment approved would make it a felony for anyone to possess a military style assault weapon or have large capacity ammunition magazines. Amendments were approved by Democratic votes only, Republicans refused to weigh in.
