New partnership offers more exclusive services and meets new state legislation requirements
DES MOINES, Iowa, March 5,2013 /PRNewswire/ -- 2013 has been a big year for Intoxalock®, which provides innovative technology through its line of alcohol monitoring devices. In addition to celebrating its 20th anniversary in January, the company also announced that they have begun directly servicing customers and clients in Washington State. The Intoxalock device was previously only available through a distributor.
This direct service partnership helps provide a smoother transition with various consumer processes for Intoxalock users. In addition to a rapidly expanding service network, Intoxalock also offers an efficient Quick Exchange program for state-mandated recalibrations, as well as 24-hour online account access that allows customers to track shipments, make payments, and manage their account.

In addition to already-mandatory ignition interlock devices required for any driver with prior alcohol-related offenses, legislation introduced on January 1st by Washington State now requires cameras for any driver who uses an in-car breathalyzer. This technology captures a snapshot of the driver each time it is used. Intoxalock began offering this feature on its Mobile eLERT™ (Electronic Live Event Reporting Technology) device in 2010 and is currently being used for Intoxalock installed drivers in New York, Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, and Vermont.
To use the Intoxalock, a driver simply pushes a button, submits their breath sample, and waits for the LED screen to display passed or failed. If the driver passes, they can start the car and head to their destination. If a driver doesn't pass, they will be unable to start the car until a passing breath sample is provided.
