For the third day, students in Dixon, Illinois were out of school Monday.
That's because teachers there are on strike until an agreement can be reached on a new contract.
There's still no word on whether or not school will be canceled a fourth day in a row on Tuesday.
But while teachers aren't allowed on school property, students showed up with picket signs just before Monday night's meeting in support of their teachers. So fa, the board has offered teachers a 3-year contract with a 1% raise with the teachers paying their own health insurance, while teachers want a nearly 4% raise and health care benefits.
The teachers' union decided to go on strike last Monday after negotiations failed. Then picked up their picket signs last Thursday.
