Former Dixon comptroller Rita Crundwell is fighting to get the state charges against her dropped.
Crundwell made a court appearance today, via video conference from the Boone County Jail. Crundwell's attorney has filed a motion in Lee County Court to get the state's 60 counts of theft dismissed.
Crundwell was sentenced last month to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to federal charges that she stole $53 million from the city of Dixon.
A judge will rule on the state charges April 1st.
