The Quad Cities National Weather Service has just upgraded Rock Island County (IL) and Scott County (IA) to a Winter Storm Warning starting at midnight tonight and lasting through midnight tomorrow night. Snow begins later tonight and will be heavy at times through portions of our Tuesday. In the metro area we're looking at another 5-8 inches of snow, on top of what's already out there from last week's prolonged snow event! Winds won't help either, gusting to 30 mph at times Tuesday.
Towns NE of the Quad Cities will see even more snow, with up to 10 inches possible in Galena and Sterling. On the other hand, areas South and SW of the Quad Cities will see lighter snow totals, with 2-5" expected in Burlington and Fairfield, Iowa!
