As a
new week begins, local business owners reflect back on what was the first ever Quad
Cities Restaurant Week.
More
than 25 restaurants took part.
Many
hot spots offered a variety of discounts, including two for one lunches for $15
and $25 multi course dinners.
Restaurant
owners say there was a definite spike in customer traffic.
"We
had noticeable increase in phone calls," says Lori Bentley, co-owner of The
Boat House. "People asking what the specials were - people calling asking if
they could have other things on the menu so we had a lot of interest."
Bentley
says she hopes to see this unique opportunity grow and continue even more often
for restaurants in the area.
