Bettendorf Man Killed in One Car Crash

A 48-year-old Bettendorf man is dead after crashing his vehicle into a ditch near Cordova.

It happened around 4:45 Thursday night along 206th Avenue near Route 84.

The driver lost control of the car, and went into a ditch before hitting an embankment and flipping several times. Police say the driver was wearing his seatbelt.

The drivers name has not been released, and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
