Bettendorf police arrested a convenience store clerk for selling drugs on Thursday afternoon.
Daniel Peve, of Davenport, was busted after officers served a search warrant at Gary's Quik Service on the corner of 18th Street and Spruce Hills Drive. The gas station is right next to Bettendorf Middle School.
Police say they suspected Peve of selling marijuana out of the business. More than 4 1/2 ounces of pot were found in the search, all of it packaged for sale.
Officers say Peve admitted to them that he had been moving around a fourth of a pound of marijuana a week out of the station for the last six months.
