Melissa Gross of Davenport and Henry Latham of Eldridge have been nominated by the Commission for the District Court judgeship vacancy.
The spot opened up in the 7th Judicial District after Judge Bobbi Alpers retired.
Governor Branstad has 30 days to appoint one of the two nominees to the District Court bench.
Both Gross and Latham graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law. Gross has worked as an attorney with the Child Support Recovery Unit of the Office of the Iowa Attorney General since 1998. While Latham has worked in the private practice of law in the Quad Cities Area since 1991.
