As of 9:20 tonight the WINTER STORM WARNING is canceled for the Quad Cities! There will still be snow off and on for parts of the area tonight, but it won't be anything like the heavy snow from earlier today. Winds gusting to 25 mph will cause some minor blowing snow and secondary roads are still likely to be covered with snow but overall the weather is improving. The snow showers should total less than an additional inch of snow for most of the area!
A sampling of snow totals - in Illinois.
Galesburg - 7.0"
Sterling - 6.0"
Kewanee - 6.0"
Moline - 4.2" as of 6pm
And in Iowa totals were generally lighter...
